That Flagship was a great hat, in a larger size that had not been monkeyed with and an unusual color.

Agreed. As the winner of this lid, I am thrilled. Based on back and forth with the Seller, it appears that the felt is in pristine condition, the sweat is supple and appears to be in great shape, as does the embroidered liner, and the color appears to be "Sage." In fact, it pretty much looks like a match to this 1946 ad for a sage Flagship:

This has been one of my Grail hats, and I feel extremely lucky to have found one in this condition. :)

Cheers,

Way to go JTL! Nice to see you find one of your grails. We are all lucky that any of these are still available in this condition. I also think that most of the hats we talk about on here go cheap!

I say nice win JTL.. When I saw that price, showed it to the Mrs... She almost fainted.. hehehe.. Thanks... It makes my $40 wins on old Dobbs OR clones a whole lot less apt for an ear-chewing about hat expenditures.

But on that Stetson.. I'd say its far beyond just a usable item to keep the noggin warm and protected from rain. A 67 Camaro convertible goes from A to B just like a Prius, but I'd certainly pay more for numbers-matching, all 8 firing, and the top-down. :) Well done Sir.. Just since I've become a fan here, your collection has never ceased to amaze and impress.

I'm glad to see that you found one of your Grails. I think I speak for many of your fellow Loungers when I say that we can't wait for the ondanoggin shot.
