Mislabeled as a Royal. It's actually the elusive Stetson No. 2 Quality.

I’m like a moth to a flame when it comes to open crown hats. Add in a very reasonable price and $10 shipping and I have no willpower at all.

Butch Dorer. I knew nothing about this hat, other than Brent pointed it out, and said they retail for 1000 dollars. The listing contained the word "Resistol", but I don't know why.

The only thing “Resistol” on that hat looks to be the hat band tip:

Hmm. I wonder why it has that hatband tip?

The whole band looks to be from a Resistol Black Gold. The band is not color or texture matched to the Dorer felt. That hat would have been fitted with a self band and a horse shoe buckle and a simpler keeper originally.

Like this in either Sterling or gold depending on quality level and customer preference. Or maybe platinum on the 10K hat.
