I like the look of Homburgs... for other people. Ha, ha. They just look horrible on me! But the style is one of the oldest Fedora styles, for sure.
I'm in this boat too. I love the look of Homburgs, but the hat is a little too formal in appearance, and looks out of place with the balance of my wardrobe. Probably why I stick to thin-ribbon hats these days.

But as I’m sure you know... I always only need one more hat.... and the one after that.

We’re all good, still in quarantine.

A Stetson Royal is definitely a thicker felt, but in the 40s $10 still bought a pretty good hat. Other companies at the time produced hats for $3.98 and below. That Sears hat we were looking at is an example.

Also I made a pretty low offer :)
