What grit paper would you suggest? The light brown stains often come off with a bit of sandpaper and elbow grease.

This hat has potential. It’s going to look great. Neat ribbon, yes.View attachment 228800 View attachment 228801 View attachment 228798 Forgot this one was coming in it’s hat box. Hat box wrapped in paper.. oh well no biggie... this Stevens has bigger concerns of its own with significant patina on brim and crown. But a really cool ribbon

I love when that happens!Today was just one of those days.
Yesterday I unpacked that Knox Foxhound fedora and instantly thought, "Gah! What an ugly little fuzzy hat! If I had seen it in person I never would have bought it..." and then I spent all day today wearing it.
I think this might become one of my favorite hats as it fits well, it's very comfortable and it has that what the hell is that thing? look to it.
I reshaped the top a bit (not pictured) and it's almost kind of stylish.

That got me to thinking that I need more hats.
That is cool. I have seen Britain, Australia, Germany (as well as one marked West Germany), and Japan, but Norway is a new one to me! Very cool find. This would be under the category "items of interest". Stumbled upon this on today. Not mine, but a tidbit of new information to me.
Royal Stetson made under license in Norway! I know about the German and English licenses, but a Norwegian one is news to me.

I’d say this hat deserves to be here as an eBay victory, even though this one cost more than any hat I’ve purchased for myself.
$150 is still a bargain for this particular Stetson.
50s 3X BQ Fifteen.
I’ve had many OR styled hats, but this one is the only one that has absolutely no issues. Love it.
A truly wonderful hat Randall
Thanks, McGee, Joe and Brent.Beautiful!
Never held a 7x and Wonder how much finer a felt could get?
A fine grit. You want to finesse the felt, not grind it up.What grit paper would you suggest?
