Thanks, Bowen. I like campaign bows. I wish the hat was my size. I have a plan for it, but if someone out there has a 7 5/8 to 7 3/4 hat that would be interested in trading for it....

Here are the 'after' pics. Very soft thin felt, like a Playboy. Black, but not pitch black - has a very slight olive tint. The sweat is high-quality, soft and thin with the inner edge turned in - 1930's or older - and it is a replacement, so the hat itself is even older. The line above the ribbon is from soaking. I soaked it from the inside, then from the outside, and didn't want to get the sweat or ribbon wet - water stains on a ribbon or not good, and thin 100-yr old leather sweats also do not respond well to water.

'Adams' is obviously the guy who signed off on the hat.

Just bought four today. Three from Adrián, one from Jim.
I forgot to download the pics of Jim's Wormser. I hope he sends them to me later.

First, a Vintage 50’s ROGERS PEET (MacLachlan made) SUPERIOR QUALITY FEDORA, Brown, 7 ¼

I really like the tall crown in relation to the brim width. Besides, it's really a MacLachlan, and the other three I own have amazing felts. Adrián says this one's felt is the same.

Truth is Adrián is one of the best sellers on eBay. He always has good hats, fair prices, and knows how to bash them and present them. Good pics, expert descriptions, and points out any issues with the hat. He ships them promptly and well, too. What's not to like?
Now that I think about it, I should copy-paste the above paragraph on eBay's feedback. I haven't left any, and he deserves it.

For the price, I decided to take a chance. Maybe Ignacio will be able to clean and repair it.
