Geez, I was just paying him a compliment on his recent purchase: a nice wool and polyester blend vintage fedora from way back in 2012. Those master craftsmen at Dorfman Pacific sure know how to put together a nice hat. What?



If a card sharp is someone who cheats at cards to win then perhaps a hat sharp is someone who is willing to cheat or under play the niceness of a hat to get it cheap?

There were a couple of Juniors passing through the auctions sites in the last couple of years. This one and a black one with the same sweat and no liner. Yours appears to be older (and much nicer).

I was missing a Pilgrim. The ribbon, binding, and liner are worse for wear, but I am pretty sure Ignacio can spiff it up for me.
