Just bought this one. Bowen says it is rare, so I am posting all the pics available. Mallory Nokabout.

I don’t know enough to appreciate what I’m seeing, but if Bowen says it’s rare that’s good enough for me. It certainly looks pristine.

I didn't know better either. He says it is like the Knox Vagabond, the Dobbs Cross Country, and the Stetson Weekender.

eBay gripe: posted a couple of hats recently, both good quality, vintage hats from the 50's and 60's. Started with an opening bid of $99 and I also used the 'best offer' feature. As I do on all my listings I asked that any Intl. buyers contact the seller prior to bidding.

First off, a couple of eBay hat trolls made an offer of $80 and $50 respectively on the 50's Whippet. Really, don't waste my time. They're members here and I don't understand the pleasure derived from the stupidity. To top it off several of the first bids to come in were from Greece and Japan. Thankfully, neither of them won.

If I'd realized the Whippet was your, Greg, I'd of offered a cool $20! I've sold a few to Japanese resalers.

I'm not so certain that makes me real happy, but they pay their bills, so what are you going to do?

Me either, Jim. I won't deny the sale, there are just certain countries I don't want to ship to. I've shipped to Japan before w/o issue. I just checked as I've got to ship these today and the Whippet is going to CA to a Japanese fellow. Wonder where this one will end up?

If I had known it was you offering the $20, it would have been yours.

I've never actually shipped to Japan, just buyers here in the States who I know are retailing over there.

They look kind of beat-up, don' they? I think I might have to ask him to replace it.

It’s hard to tell from photos. This ribbon might be fine. I also like hats that show some honest use but not abuse or excessive wear. Just a personal preference.

Thanks for helping me resist the evils of leather jackets. You’re a true friend, Max. :)

Love the Knox Foxhound.

Is the top picture flipped, or is the point of the diamond crease pointing toward the back of the hat? Or is the bow on the right side of the hat? Something looks off there.
IDK. It is headed to Ignacio anyway. Too small. I am bringing them to him four or five at a time. Once I got used to them being conformed, he got me.

Got this one a while ago. Mallory fifteen. Looks 1940? I hadn't seen that liner before. I find it interesting. Anyone know about it?

This is a recycled wool felt hat from the 1990s. They were mostly given away as promotional items at timeshare presentations. If you find one in 7 5/8 let me
Know. ;)
