This one should shape up nicely. Yes, that is a killer bow! Can't wait for detail/noggin shots.Hard fought ebay win, Knox 15. I'm a sucker for that twisted knot on the bow.

The guys bidding a buck here and there just serve to make me mad, LOL. I put in the price of a new custom with 7 seconds to go on the auction. Glad, though, that the 2nd highest bidder stopped closer to $200.... hehehe.good win ... been watching that one since it was listed ... watched it go
probably the best of your collection right now
worth every penny and more

I emailed the seller a couple times about the true color, etc, and he was real quick with replies and more pics. I'm excited to get this one. I've been wanting a nice, older Knox for quite some time. It's not a 40, but this one looks sweet enough to quench my thirst, for awhile anyway...
Scored this Stratoliner in an impulse BIN. Low price, mint condition, had to pull the trigger before someone else did. Never had one of these before, could anyone shed light on the era this one in particular is from? Thanks

Fernandez y Roche is a good house. I believe they source their hat bodies from FEPSA. Fernandez y Roche I think are in Sevilla Spain. I also think they or their affiliated vendors supply JJ Hatters house brand and another top notch upscale hatter/hat shop in NYC. But then again I could be FOS.This went unsold earlier, i nearly bid but wasn't sure what i was looking at, then got distracted. Advertized as fernandez y roche. I zoomed on the sweat and wondered if it was made of cloth, asked the seller, that amongst other questions, and i think the answers got lost in google translate but satin was their answer. Not sure if it will be relisted but anyone come across anything like it? View attachment 82959 View attachment 82960
hmmmm maybe i should have bid, i was thinking, could be wool, unreeded, cloth sweat, floppy. I did ask in english and googles best version of spanish, so er... two different languages, but got a reply that mentioned satin and that's about it.Fernandez y Roche is a good house. Great find. I'm happy it is not my size, I would be really bummed.Scored this Stratoliner in an impulse BIN. Low price, mint condition, had to pull the trigger before someone else did. Never had one of these before, could anyone shed light on the era this one in particular is from? Thanks

Good deal. Very good deal. Looks in excellent condition.Just couldn't wait to pull the trigger on it as a $125 BIN. I don't believe it would have lasted very long at that price. I think it's a sweet deal considering a modern Strat is $200+. Came with the Knox box too.
