I can be just as coy as you ladies when I choose to be...;) lol And just as much of a tease, too.:p lol

Coy? Hah! I am far from coy... I just go out and say "I like you!" If they don't like me back whatever. :) I can still think they're a cutie. lol

Well, for starters, LolitaHaze and Diamondback are donating their love child to a family who are sterile...

In other news, Jovan relapses in Alcoholics Anonymous and drives his car off a cliff. MORE INSIDE!!!

Yeah, but the Daily News says that LolitaHaze got Pink to be the surrogate mother for her unborn love child.

ill admit to this... started a new job and have developed a crush on all these older, stylish and extremely smart women who work around me. Now, never having dated anyone one older than me and usually dating people quite a bit younger than me... it feels a bit taboo and scandalous, which makes these crushes all the more enjoyable.

Jovan, you are so in for it, young brasshopper...

Sorry, Lolita, don't see it happening--our occupations would be problematic, you could be a liability in the pursuit of my general's stars. Nothing personal intended, just that "mission objective" has to come before "personal sentiments" for me. Although you could be fun to share Bypass Burgers with...;)

Jovan's car wreck: accident, or foul play? Investigation inside... :p

Desi, sorry, but I'm not a drama fan--I don't have the energy for it, have to save most of what little I've got left in me for finding a source of warmth. I'm always accepting applications, if any of you ladies would be willing to lend a hand...;) :D

Actually, I'm not trying to start drama there either, just attempting to pay well-deserved compliments. (Although my commentary about "coy" is largely because of recognizing that the techniques you would use there have many common principles with my own field* of "black-bag work"... OTOH, I can't imagine a population I'd rather a possible Mrs. Diamondback being part of than the Ladies of the Lounge, even the "Gunboard Girls" are in second place, if just barely.)

*I say "my field" even though I went out of it before ever entering formal training for good reason: when things start as early as I did, you can take the guy out of the black suit, but...:eusa_doh: Remember "Hotel California"?

But she is absolutely adorable!

Doran, I know what you mean re the symmetery studies etc... though I'm not sure i agree with those. Having - for work realted reasons alone, as personally I find pornography distasteful - seen a large quantity of what is made available online with the express intent of amking money from what others find sexually appealling, it seems to me that there truly is noone that someone won't be turned on by.... [huh]

I understand the lack of self confidence thing, but I am curious to know how it is an insult to the other person. And by asking that I am not saying it should be a compliment I just never thought of it as insulting.

Well, think about it from the other person's point of view: let's say a guy turns down a whole bunch of ladies saying "out of my league", "too good for me", "she'd never sink to my level" and so on.... and then along you come and says "yeah, you're attainable." Would that not make you feel that he didn't think much of you?

I agree that there are persons with horrible personalities, but I have met some horrible-looking people, too.

My sister-in-law says, "there are no ugly girls. Only lazy girls." On the rare occasions when we see a hideous person, unless it is the Elephant Man, 85% of what is hideous about them are things they could improve if they spent energy on it.

As to beauty being in the eye of the beholder: well, I don't know about that, either. Partially, I suppose. But there is a fairly solid consensus to judgments of sexual attractiveness (with, naturally, a few outliers).

Doran, while I understand your point of view and agree to a point, please consider the flip side. I've often found unconventional looking people attractive - people that the masses deem ugly. Why, because of their personalities and minds. I actually appreciate the things that make people different and stand out from a cookie cutter pretty face crowd.

I know it will always be different for men, but let me use Starbuck as an example. While yes she is pretty, I find her rather boring. You could insert any blonde generic pretty actress in her place and it wouldn't make a difference. To me, she's eye candy for the men - nothing more. Now take a woman like Cate Blanchett, Tori Amos or Katherine Hepburn - who are all not conventionally beautiful, but their minds and personalities and the entire package make them beautiful.

I've always found both of those ladies stunning. What the contemporary mainstream regards as "beautiful" I tend to find rather bland, to be honest.
