Three days of wearing. The sleeves are starting to form creases and so their length is slightly shortened. From only a little bit of wearing and handling, the horsehide is palpably softer. Truly the best horsehide I’ve ever handled.

Pics do no justice but these are from Day 3:

This leather has me seriously considering the brown Type III they offer from the same tannery, but I’d really like to a collared rider jacket or maybe a basic cross zip in the same.

The hide by FourSpeeds Leathers is f**king amazing, no matter which jacket style you choose. But the brown Type III Horsehide jacket that IH offers should age with like a mythical God.

mine still owing 10ish days to finish since i ve been struck with hottest weeks ever here... left before , right during campaign, when not worn i hang the jacket outside in the shade but taking uv all day, and humidity during night time. I can see the dye is greyer now than before.

Yes, fresh off the Aero Sale page...

this being my first look at the Battered HH.. I’m more then Impressed, this leather is really nice..
How does it compare with regular Vincenza in terms of weight and water resistance?. Thanks.

In comparing the battered HH to Vicenza i would say that weight-wise they are similar, i think Aero considers both of these to be "Mid-weight". though neither are light except when compared to CXL
the feel of the Vicenza is a little softer and smoother, the Battered has a nice crispness to it.
The appearance of Vicenza also matches its feel as the colorization is even and "smooth". The battered is mottled and shows a good bit of variation.
I do wear my jackets in the rain, although typically just from my car to house or office ( or other inside location) and vice-versa so they have never really gotten soaked.. but I would imagine that they both will repel or after a sufficient amount of time hold water equally..

Great to see the Dustbowl getting some screen time here Boyo. I've long thought that would be a very handsom & practical jacket, just have never even tried one on yet. May just have to consider it - in 2 years or so :)

I really like the battered seal HH on yours, looks truly epic and will only get better with time and use.
