Display colors...

Hello,
I looked everywhere in this site first for an answer, my apologies in advance if this is the wrong forum to ask...but is there a way to change the site display colors? The black/yellow text on black background hurts my eyes!
I'd love to post more, but I can't take more than a few minutes of this color scheme without going dizzy!
Many thanks from a long-time lurker.

I have the same problem. If I have a headache, I can't even stand to look at the site because the text hurts my eyes. Usually, web designers stay away from light on black color schemes because they can trigger migranes in readers.

The colors don't bother me, but some of the smilies don't show up right, as they were designed to be on a light colored screen.

Speaking of which, we should have some more smilies. Perhaps some nominations and a vote?

Personally, I like the colors, but it's obviously a very personal thing. Does enlarging the text size reduce the eyestrain?
I like the color combination(s), it's just that after a short time of looking at the white/yellow fonts on a black background, my eyes start to hurt. I also tried tweaking the font size but it didn't help. I feel silly even posting this!

What's the "'timed out' feature" panamag8or? Or maybe I don't shut up long enough for it to ever activate!

If I sign in and don't click the "remember me" box, then go get a cup of coffee, or let the dogs out, I come back to having been automatically signed out. Many web sites have this feature, so that inactive users are not using the site's bandwidth.

I just have to remember the "remember", and it won't be an issue.

Ah, so it is because I don't shut up. lol Sometimes I've posted when my (male) roommate has signed in, usually in the Girdles thread! Eek! Where's that delete button?!
So there is no way to change the display colors? They don't bother me but he complains that some of the colors a few of the posters use are painful. I'm running out of Tylenol to give him.

Well the colors that the posters use....are determined by them...and are not part of the theme.....so thats different kettle of fish...

I am still trying to read if there is a way to -override- the message board display skin......but doing it -while- working....so erm yea...

Well yeah I realize that, I just llike to whine, but I was hoping for a mute button for the colors. SAY, I have a few weeks off, maybe I'll work on it as an invention.
