Dialing Aero from the U.S.

Trying to return a semi-cryptic phone message from Ken Calder about my replacement jacket, no combination of Aero's phone number seems to work for me. Could someone give me a quick run-down for dummies like me who rarely call out of the country? I called them once about two years ago when my adventure began, lost the code I used. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.Thanks, Frank

Try this combination:

dial 011 + 44 + (0)1896 755353

The "0" maybe left - just try ...

This should do it, I believe. You need to dial two 0s before the country code and omit the zero that were in parentheses when calling from another country.

I always thought it was the double 0 for everybody. Do people from Asia or Africa have to dial something else as well, then?

Yeah - called Europe all the time then was in Europe trying to call the US. Frustrating. Here's a list of international numbers from Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_international_call_prefixes

Thanks Johannes, from where I live it looks like the difference is closer to 7 hours (California, Pacific Time). I did stay up really late a long while back to call about my first order, and I must have caught Amanda on a bad day, because she gave me the big freeze like I was trying to borrow money. I've got a one year old now, don't have the time or the energy to stay up late enough to call Aero, so I'll have to wait for them to contact me with whatever issue they might have. Thanks for all your help folks, and for not treating me like an absolute idiot for not knowing this stuff. I lead a fairly boring life, I suppose. Frank.
