All right, I forgive you. My guess stands at late '30s, but I suppose it could also be late '40s. (It's not like the style had a chance to evolve during the Blitz.)

I've seen '30s hats from France that also have a label stuck to the inside top of the crown -- but no liner.

'unlined' English hats are almost as common as 'lined' English hats.
