I can't stop searching this site. The more I look, the more I find, and some are sooo vintagey.
I'm not getting these because they are just too high for me, but I thought I'd post the links to them just in case one or more of you ladies thought they were as cute as I did and can actually wear such high heels.
ARGH!! For some reason, the links for these pairs of shoes isn't showing up, so I'll give you ladies the brand and name of them and you'll have to look them up that way:( But take a look, they are really cute!

Imagine Women's Verinas High Heel Peep Toe Pump
Beverly Feldman High Heel Sling

I actually tried on a pair of vintage shoes that were a lot like the black ones with the bows and the studs (2nd pair listed). I just wish they had a bit more of a platform, that makes the actual heel height a little less and easier to walk in. I love the first pair, they are sooo cute, but even with the platform, they're just too high for me. I hope one of you ladies gets them, they would look so great with a vintage suit.

I'm sure they'll be more to come. I'm supposed to be doing house work today, but instead I've been shoe shopping at this site all morning. It's addicting!!

I've used the strappy strips to tighten up some of my looser sling backs. They worked pretty well, and also added some cushion making the shoe more comfortable. They sell them at the Naturalizer store and at some pharmacies.

Don't worry, you aren't alone! I have very weird shaped heels, so I have trouble wearing sling backs because they just slide off my heels. I haven't found a solution yet - I wonder if there are some sort of inserts for this type of problem...off to google!

Ooh...maybe this site will have some answers!

Thank you ladies. Kim, how clever of you to find that website. I'm off to get strappy strips. This may open up a whole new shoe avenue for me.:) :)

Just wanted to let you gals with a higher shoe size know that there were quite a few pairs of vintage shoes on ebay this week in bigger sizes. I can't put the direct links but check out the women's shoe section in the vintage category. There are pairs both up for auction and under the "buy it now" section. Most were under the "1938-1946" category. So take a look around, I saw at least two pairs that were size 10 that were very cute.

Why do I have to be so picky

Man are there some smoking deals. I love Fluvogs, and you can get them for under $100. I just wish I could wear heels over 2", I would be getting 10 pairs of shoes. OH WELL, I will keep an eye on that site.

Maybe I'm just weird, but a heel that is that high looks strange (and painful) to me. I like having a bit of a platform so it lessens the height and the pressure put on the toes from the downhill slant.

But then again, I'm most comfortable in my cowboy boots. :D

I'm getting these when I get a few extra $$$
I've been on the lookout for a relatively cheap pair of t-straps with a low, slightly-slanted-inward heel. These are just perfect!

Anybody ever order form here? I'm just wondering if the shoes run small.

Amy Jeanne, I used to have a pair of character shoes like those when I first started swing dancing (years and years ago). They were quite painful! The top of the shoe dug into my foot uncomfortably when I danced and left blisters. I had to wear socks with them. Yeah, that was attractive.

Can you try the shoes on before buying them to make sure they're comfortable?

Really? How are they comfortable? I'm leery of any heel over 3", but I've been searching for dark brown pumps for months. If the upper is soft and the sole curved enough (it's uncomfortable when the ball and heel actually touch the shoe) I'll definitely go for them.

Thanks for the warning -- I kinda figured they'd be a bit uncomfy, but I'm probably only going to wear them for special ocassions and maybe every once in a while to work. I'm not going to dance in them nor will I be doing any serious walking in them!! The IDEA of fashion over comfort appeals to me, but I always cop out and go for the comfort ;)

How well do they fit? I have a little bit wider foot than the average girl, and it's really hard for me to buy shoes online...but these are too cute!
