Wouldn't surprise me if it's a C&K. Also looks like it might have a Cavanagh Edge, which would be correct on a C&K at this time.

...you'll need a 1931 suit. It'll have to be a high-buttoning 2B or 3B short jacket, with high rise, straight legged, and pretty full trou. Peak lapels and a vest wouldn't hurt.

Best part is, it could be your 1932, 1933, 1934, or "till times get better" suit.

That's Sam Spade in the 1931 version. Nice shots of the hat. I noticed the back bow as well.

I would have thought back-bows were much later, a '50s thing. Maybe a revival?

Interesting how varied the crown shapes and even brims were - a very casual approach, grab it by the crown and plop it on and soft crowns too.

Best bet for OTR clothes might be to buy a Short and a Regular (or perhaps a Regular and a Long) of the same suit, then wear the longer trousers with the shorter coat. Maybe even take the short trou and have them made into a vest.

It won't be a custom suit, certainly, but at least you have some choice over the basic look of the thing. Sending a tailor illustrations to copy is likely make both of you unhappy.
