Correct strap for Elgin A-11 wrist watch

I recently picked up an Elgin A-11 wristwatch.

At least that is what the case back says. Its non hacking and I assumed all A-11 were hacking.

It might be OK, be faulty, or be a frankenwatch.

Can anyone clarify wether non hacking is correct?

It's keeping good time and I'm happy with its looks. What is the correct issue strap for one of these?

Finally something I know just a little bit about - watches!

To the best of my knowledge, the top pictures shows how it was done in most cases.
But - as you see on the other picture - a more normal strap were also the case.

My husband has at least 2 original A11 watches, and both have the light green fabric strap that Spitfire posted.

That's the one. And, there is some guy on ePay selling a so-so reproduction for the same price as Hayes' originals. Get one while the getting's good. (Or buy one of each - wear the repop and get it sweaty and keep the original for "Sunday go to meet"un".
