I wish I had a hat size that would allow me to get the absolutely awesome hats I see HarpPlayerGene with. Thats a fine show there sir.
I have to search for 7 3/4 to 7 7/8 lids and I don't have to tell you, its new hat city.

Ohhhh, you meant blue hats. Well, the hat in that photo is an authentic stingy brim Stetson from the 1960s, and an exact duplicate of those in the movie, does that count?

(.....aaaaand that's all folks!)

Jimmy and Gene, you are both killin' me with these hats! Another drop dead hat from Jimmy and two beauts for Gene.

Jimmy you should think about posting your collection here. I for one would love to see them all together and I'm saying others would too. I certainly commend your excellent taste and yours too, Gene.

Thanks fellas for the nice sentiments. And you're right; I'm fortunate to wear a size 7 and to have obtained some of these. I guess it's all that clean livin' paying off for me. lol ;) lol ;)

Below is a link to more pics of the blue Borso'. The shot I posted captures how the blue looks if lit well, but in dimmer light or warmer light it can fool you into thinking it's black. In the sun, in person, it shows deep blue - but the outdoor pics on the link didn't convey that to the camera.

This hat is magic. It is the best proportions for me of any hat I've got. It's also one of those Borso's that were NOS found in a warehouse in Bulgaria after being locked up, unsold for decades after WWII.

Many thanks for the kind words, Bob. I have thought about putting together a "family photo." Once I get a couple of lids back from their cleaning at Optimo, I'll try to put something together.

There are some great blue lids here...

GWD -- Love that Whippet!

Gene -- That Trionfo is outstanding, as is the Stetsonian.

Lookin' sharp, funneman!

Cheers,

Hello,

The postman just delivered a parcel that contained a worthy entry for this thread, so I took some snap photos.

It is a new Beaver Brand porkpie. I was drawn to this particular model by the bow treatment with the constrasting colours.

Regards!
