Very, very nice, metropd. :eusa_clap I really like the color of that gray. How did you decide on a beaver/nutria blend? Is it something that Optimo offers as one of their felts?

Great lid -- Congrats!!! :eusa_clap

Cheers,
JtL

Yes, it is beautiful hat. On the other hand - 518$?
When you consider that the top bespoke tailors charge over $5k for a suit and the top shoemakers charge over $3k for a pair of shoes, Optimo's prices seem like a bargain. I hope Graham doesn't read this

I´ll buy a pickaxe for my last money and will try to find some oil in my backyard. And then...
And for the prices - I think it´s logical that a hat is cheaper than eg. shoes or suit. All in all, it´s just an accessory...

Good choice

I hope you enjoy your Optimo as much as I've enjoyed mine. I have the Manhattan style in grey, and I, too, dress it down. It's a great hat and has been rained on and snowed on without any problems. The beaver/nutria blend is tops in my book.

This is bespoke hat, which uses skilled labour, alot of time and personal effort, and quality materials. Not to mention how many hats they are turning out a day and paying their employees. A hat around $500 for all these things is a bargain.

Thank you for everyone's wonderful compliments.:)

Actually, back in the day hats and shoes were comparably priced
