I’ve always liked the look of this box. I just bought one it has a black mystery hat in it. Just a bad photo and the sellers description was NIB. Fingers crossed.

Good Luck!

Your hat with the last drop liner is not from the 40’s, it has a mid 60’s-70’s size tag. The 25 is a vita-felt, no one knows for sure the contents.

I have another Stetson 25 but not vita felt, it's thicker but feel good, better than 3X.
Vita felt hat is very light, I like the 25 vita better.
Thanks for share about the size tag.

Dear everyone
I got a Stetson 25 and a 7X, all from 40s,
I found Stetson 25 is very good beaver, it feels like about 7X,
What beaver level is Stetson 25? Is it about 7X or?
Which one is more expensive in 40s?
I think I can get some help here.

As already stated, your 7X is a much more recent hat. Also understand that you are comparing a western weight/type of felt (7X CB) with a dress weight felt (Vita-Felt). They aren’t on the same spectrum and it’s not a progression from one to the other.

Stetson does not not tell us, with few exceptions, what the fur content of their hats are. The Twenty-Five was a $25 hat and that was a lot of money in the 1940s. There is an entire thread here on Vita-Felt that you should read as well as a thread in the 7X CB.

Very interesting 25 Vita-felt.
Both very nice hats but the 25 is the diamond of the two. Imo
Like to see more of both especially the 25. Thanks

Anyone familiar with Princely De Luxe by Buckley?

These are the seller’s photos and all I currently have. Thanks.

Hey I tried to send you a private message with some information about Buckley-Brooks but it says that your profile is limited. I've researched the company extensively over the last several years and I've amassed a pretty good database of its history and ads. If you send me a private message, I can respond with a rundown of the company and maybe answer some of your questions!

I found all three of these together I can't find any information about Hoffmann and Thomas or "the B R Baker Company" two of them belong to H.A.P. and the other H.A.P. Jr. Thanks again.

That first Dobbs re-order label is from the 30s or so. The last Dobbs you show is likely 1960s vintage.
