Need some help with Aero Board Racer sleeve sizing. I found a size 42 for sale. The Shoulder is 17.5 and sleeve is 26.5. I have a regular cafe racer with 26 sleeve and 18.5 shoulder. The sleeve length is perfect on mine. I was wondering if the shoulder is an inch smaller, on the board racer, does that mean the sleeves would be shorter also? So the Board Racers sleeves would be closer in length to my regular cafe racer. Any help would be great

The sleeves should just feel a touch shorter but a 17.5" shoulder on a 42 seems rather small. That's like a size 38 shoulder.

That's a nice jacket for sure. I hope all the numbers are within your tolerance.
GOt it, members here are a little bit torn between the whole shoulder measurement. Some (myself included) feel it matters, some members don't think so. But maybe if the pit to pit works for you, it can also work. Hopefully other members can chime in

I put the order in. It was a stock jacket they had on sale because its a thinner CXL. All the numbers work, except the 0.5 extra on the sleeves. But if it's shorter because the shoulder is an inch smaller, vs my regular racer, then it should fit like a glove. Fingers crossed!

Got this Schott 641HH on the 'bay recently. I thought it might be a little too large as a size 36 for me, but I figured I could pretty easily recoup the cost if I decide to sell it. What do you think of the fit? I feel it might be too baggy in the chest and upper arms.

Nice jacket for sure but not really doing you a massive favor. It's a bit too baggy and large. Not like too large but just... Doesn't work for you. You can do much better. Actually, you should do much better! :D Slightly shorter style, possibly something Japanese would fit you much better.

Jacket lining question, how does viscose lining durability experience? Will it last very long? Or wool and cotton will be better option? I don’t really need for the warmth

I have handled all the lining you mentioned with my jackets. I'm sure cotton drill is more sturdy in the long term compared to wool. The viscose twill is a lighter but smoother and easier on the skin compared to cotton drill. You can't go wrong with cotton drill or viscose twill if warmth isn't an issue where you live

Thanks but Viscose will deteriorate with exposure to UV or get wet right? So cotton will be better?

Maybe you need to explore a radically different style?

That’s how I ended up with a fringed cafe racer...

I do have one saved up for GW...;) I even sourced an old Navajo buckle for it...
@ton312’s blue/green is amazing, but I think I’m over CXL. Now I want a substantial mid-weight pliable luxurious hide that makes me feel like a million bucks.
Agreed!

I doubt that it will deteriorate, mine feels pretty solid plus I don't think your jacket liner will ever see the light of day unless you purposely do it. If you want a really robust no fuss lining I think cotton drill might be it for you,

Anyone have a jacket made with Horween Vermont? How does it hold up long term?

I'm getting one made from the seal brown Vermont JL have in stock so I'm also interested here. It's midweight 2-2.5 oz at the most so it will be very easy to wear, looks like it will crease/roll up a lot considering how the top coat has a little waxy feel to it.

At this stage, is there anything you haven’t ordered? :D
You’re having a great run! Kudos to you! :)

Ouch, so true lol this is my phase "I'm just getting it out the way while I can still afford it now. I'm sure my finances will change when I invest in something big"
Plus that leather is just beautiful (I've been thinking about it since May of last year), its seal brown with reds showing under the sun. Thank you so much, it really makes a big difference once you know what you like to wear and what your measurements are.

Does anyone have reference photos of a cross-zip with a mandarin collar? Kinda like a perfecto-cafe racer hybrid? I'm talking to Five Star about a possible custom and I'm looking for some inspiration images. Bonus for womens jackets, but I'll take anything you think looks cool.
