Does the reverse apply? Would it be appropriate to say, "Look, enough with the proper diction and good manners, you're not upper class white."?

Hmm...shouldn't proper diction and good manners be the default, regardless of class, race or creed? So no, I wouldn't think the reverse would apply.

I think (my personal opinion only here) that many old time sayings are just as fitting today, such as," you catch more flies with sugar than with vinegar..."...and for me, it just seems a smile is known everywhere and gets a person farther than a frown, and when it comes to speaking or acting with good manners, I would take that over someone acting like a "corn cob" any day!

Back on topic, adults being rude to adults is not desirable, but teaching children that it's to be celebrated and rewarded is what I am against.

I have to say, my opinion again, what in the world happened to people just being decent and kind to others, period? I am....regardless of the constant display of more than not being in a humorous mood, it is not hard at all to be kind, nice, giving.

Now that does not mean I cannot think or state some folks just need to be shot because they are mean...just mean.....bad...mean....evil..... ! lol!
