What the world needs is fiber optic grosgrain and a small enough changeable color light source to go into crown. Deciding on just one color for that gorgeous hat is a daunting task.

Thanks guys- it was Art's suggestion that I bind the brim in a ribbon that matched the felt and then go with something like this for the crown. Great choice!
The felt is Charcoal, btw, which looks gorgeous.

Sneak Peek!

Winter is coming...

Gentlemen, I'd like to introduce to you my first Art Fawcett created hat. The felt is powder blue and its sublties are difficult to capture on film, so I used several different camera settings. The brim is 2 3/8 inches with overwelt. The bow is something that this forum has not quite seen anything like before. I've decided to name it the "Winterfell."

The previous picture was without a flash, this one is with a flash.

The ribbon/bow. This photo best represents the ribbon colors.

This photo captures the powder blue felt color better.

randooch, funny that you should use the word "architectural" as that was exactly what went through my mind as a goal. Because of the ribbon building it gives it more of a 3 dimensional feel

Met the USPS person as I was leaving the gym this morning. I exchanged some Holiday cookies for the signed box from Art Fawcett. I had baked some molasses sugar cookies and added Holiday silver/gold sprinkles on top. I love those cookies with coffee! The USPS person took cookies and a "To Go Cup" of Costa Rican coffee.

I opened the cardboard shipping box. Love the sharp black hat box.
