That's really cool. You picked up a couple of gorgeous jackets mate. The front shot was missing before, this looks great. How warm is it? I have no idea re the thickness or heft of this number. I do like it.....lots...

Hi Bunyip....I haven't had much opportunity to wear other than testing the fit...weather has been in the 80's here.
Its a relatively lighter weight wool, but is also lines with a similar weight wool, so overall is mid-weight and should be good for a lot of weather situations...probably not for extreme cold though.

I like the blue/brown shown on the Aero page. I have an old dark blue wool jacket in an identical cut, pleat and all, but there are a couple of things I don't like about it, arms slightly too short etc and also while I have a couple of nice leather jackets I do like I just seem to favour other jackets I have over them - so this seemed a nice compromise.

I'm desperately fond of that green wool. If only there was a way to mash the Eastman A-1 with Aero's wool stock.

I'm not a fan of ornamental leather panels so, guess I'd prefer the Himel. Even that one though has a leather collar, something I wouldn't want. I'd probably go with an all-wool version of Aero's jackets. For such an expensive garment though, I'd insist there be leather elbow patches. The elbow is the vulnerable point on woolen jackets.
