This issue with Aero shoulder creases has been raised by @Carlos840 and others. Not sure if it’s particularly more acute with the Sheene or not but I sure have it on my recently purchased jacket. I don’t think I have sloping shoulders either but I have
the creases and the pressure on the neck. For what it’s worth, it’s a listed 42 with a p2p of 24.
It’s not comfortable. Does this go away with break-in, or get worse?

It never got better or worst on any of my Aeros, it never got more comfortable.
What fixes it is not wearing them...

IMO it was never fixed because Master Ken doesn't make mistakes...

experimented with mine last night. If I rolled my shoulders forward, the lines got worse. If I rolled my shoulders back to almost an uncomfortable completely upright puffing out chest position, they got better. So basically, the tugging "up" of the material makes them go away. Which is essentially what Marc demonstrated with his pin fixes. Kind of pulling the material up and in towards the neck. And at least on mine, the lines are less pronounced with the jacket zipped up, again because the material is being tugged more and not draping into those lines.

I think that fixes the lines, but it's still extremely heavy on the neck and across the shoulders. And in hindsight, even though I do have somewhat of V taper body shape, I think I prefer more of the hour glass style designs. I've noticed on some Sheene's posted here and especially mine, there's a bit of a bulge that develops around the chest area and then tapers sharply.

My brown CXL is breaking in gorgeous, so I'm going to keep, but definitely not the kind of jacket I would wear if I know I'm going to be out all day kind of thing. It probably would work better if I were 5-10 lbs lighter, not so much with the neck stuff, but the general fit in the torso, flaring hand warmer pockets, etc.

As I say a lot lately, definitely first world problems which I think wouldn't be so evident without the keen eyes we have around here LOL.

I had 2 highwayman (light horse and heavy steer), 2 50s HB (light horse and heavy steer), not one jacket feels comfortable except the Teamster I have now which is made from very thin horsehide.

These are all valid questions. I also wonder:

(1) Why people (Aero jacket owners) trivialize the issue by saying those creases add charm.

(2) Why people keep buying Aero's even though they know these pattern issues exist.

(3) If every fashion brand maker in the world gets it right, why can't Aero?
LOL...This issue doesn't happen with every Aero though, as I've pointed out, plenty of times. Is it a pattern issue? No, not IMO. I've had the same pattern and size jacket one did it, one did not. I believe it's the result of how an individual jacket is put together and the relationship specifically to the neck hole diameter. I can't say exactly why... And no not every fashion brand gets it right and here are two perfect examples:

If it makes anyone feel better, if you don’t like your neck creases Aero and it happens to be in my size, by all means...shoot me a PM so I can put you out of your misery. :)

As far as how people feel about how those creases look, I suppose that’s up to personal taste. Personally they don’t bother me and I’m confused why they would bother anyone. If a jacket is uncomfortable that’s one thing but I personally don’t find these creases unsightly. I’m not trying to walk around permanent pressed.

To me it was never about what it looks like, but about how they feel when worn.
In all my Aeros the back of the collar is pressing on the back my neck, i can feel the jacket hanging on my neck.
With most of my other jackets i have a gap between my neck and the collar, maybe one finger wide, i actually have to pull my head back for the collar to make contact with the back of my neck.
With these i do not feel the weight of the jacket as it is carried by my shoulders.

It might not be as noticeable on your H&M and STH as they are probably lighter, but it is definitely noticeable with a CXL weight jacket.

I think a lot of people don't realize they have been wearing an uncomfortable leather jacket, until they have experienced a comfortable one.

+1 to that.
I was perfectly happy with my Aeros when i got them, i just thought the neck pain and the poor range of motion was "normal" when wearing a thick and heavy leather jacket.
Everybody just told me it would get better fater break in, it was normal for CXL to be uncomfortable, blah blah blah...
It's only when i got into LW and Vanson and I started wearing jackets that were twice as heavy as my CXL Aeros but far more comfortable and with far better range of motion that i realized it was not normal.

A jacket that doesn't touch your neck has a larger collar gap. Vanson jackets have an absurd amount of neck gap, it's actually the one thing that truly bothers me with regard to their patterns, observe:

imo that both looks bad and doesn’t do the jacket any favors for being something to keep me warm. Surely there is a middle ground. But then I think back to HD’s Stuart. No creases and no laughable collar gap:

This is my Taubers CR of which I got rid as soon as I could. I don't have a fit pic, but you can see the creases in the attached pic. This was a lightweight jacket, maybe 3.5 lbs max, but the pressure on the neck was annoying. The fit just felt off even though it was my size. Maybe these were the patterns in those days; Aero is known to use old patterns.

Edit - just occurred to me - maybe these patterns were designed for motorcyclist's posture back in the day, and did not work out that well for casual wear? IDK.

Agreed, that looks bad, but that's an extreme.
The collar gap on Marc's jacket is around 1 finger and is what i was talking about.
The collar gap on that Vanson is like three fingers, and that looks ridiculouse...

I see it on quite a few Vansons (and believe me and I think it goes without saying, I am a Vanson fan).

I wonder if it's something they do on their more "civilian" jackets, rather than MC jackets?
Cause none of mine do that, they all have a collar that is close to your neck but not resting on it.

In my case, its not the look of the creases that are an issue.... I could care less about that. It's the weight of the heavy CXL on my neck. My jacket is still new and most of the wear has been around the house while breaking it in but the couple times I've worn it out and about, by the time I came home my neck and shoulders were worn out. That isn't right. It's definitely not a motorcycle design legacy issue because Vanson, a true MC designer does not have that problem, in my limited experience. Nor do any of my other MC jackets.
I really had my eye on a Aero Maxwell for my next piece, and now I am rethinking that.

Mine has slight creasing on the shoulders but sits nicely on my neck and shoulders. I think I would be bothered as well with a heavy jacket hanging off of a pressure point. Sounds like you may be a perfect candidate for a custom jacket. I understand that they can adjust for sloping shoulders and oval shaped neck opening.

I never knew how a bicycle was supposed to fit until I had a custom frame made.

I dunno, my E’s looked the same until I slapped the fuzzy collar in place. HC Hiwayman too. I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing but it does explain why you don’t feel anything at the neck.

Out of curiosity, what’s the shoulder to shoulder measurement? My theory is that a narrow shoulder combined with a small neck hole diameter will cause a pinch point at the back of the neck. I still believe it’s an individual jacket thing, not a pattern issue. Even my short time JL (which Carlos has now, displayed this to some extant). This jacket hung right at the back of my neck. It was also too small.

My Sheene measures as follows:
Shoulder 19.75, p2p 24, back 26.5, hem 21.5 so it’s not cramped in any way
