A Fifty Cent Felt.

I went to "The Mall" today. Found this nifty little number. Brown felt. The tag says it's a Large and it's made in the USA. There is a logo inside a circle saying it's 100% Wool Felt with a RN number that I can't make out the last two digits.

I'm not sure what type it is, but it's a nice hat. The only thing wrong with it is that there is no hat band.

Any ideas on how to clean it. I'm kinda weird about thrift shop finds and "The Mall" is not the cleanest place around. Gives you the creepy crawlies alll over when you walk out.

Put it in the freezer for a few days. The creepy crawlers will be done. I use antiseptic antibacterial wipes from a first aid kit on the sweatband. HTH

Here is a link to a business called "Mister Hats".I`m going to have my thrift store vtg Resistol fedora cleaned/blocked by them.I like the fact that they are a "real" store too. Their services are reasonable and they give discounts on ribbons,liners,etc. if you are paying for a cleaning.
