These hats were rebuilt by Art Fawcett and for this reason I would like them to stay on the Lounge. Both hats will be shipped in the Marathon box pictured.

Grey hat: There is some fading of the felt I tried to capture. It is there and you can see it but it is not so blatant that someone is likely to call you out on it.

Brim: 2 5/8 in.

Open crown height: 6 in.

Internal Circumference: 23 in.

Internal Head opening: 8 in. x 6 1/2 in.

Acorn hat: There are 3 small spots on the crown and the biggest one is pictured.

He does sometimes but he makes it well known that refurbs are at the bottom of the list and may take a while as he is plenty busy making custom hats (and such great hats they are...).

Would you say (knowing your own head) that they are
long oval in shape?

Just in case anyone else was wondering the hats are a pretty standard 7 3/8 size though they might be considered slightly long oval.

And as an FYI I checked shipping costs to a couple of places and found that I am going to be paying a LOT for shipping these things anywhere. If they end up going to eBay I will adjust price accordingly but I'll keep my word to anyone wishing to buy here.

I can't figure out why these hats haven't been snatched up yet.
This is some fine, incredibly strong and dense felt, in versatile colors,
extremely tastefully designed into classic fedoras in the popular size
of 7 3/8. The price is a steal.

These lids blow away almost everything I've seen in the Classifieds
section (and a fair amount of what we fish out of eBay). Sure beats
any new production hat in quality and styling. I keep seeing posts from
new members buying hats made in China (or heck, even those made
in Australia) for the same or more money. I don't get it.

It's killing me that they don't fit me! I can't look at this thread again!

I agree. If I hadn't just bought a VS from Hollis I'd be all over these myself. Somebody's missing out on a great deal.

I agree that these are really nice lids at a great price. But I wager they would get more attention from prospective buyers if the hat size was listed in the title of the post. It would also save saps like me the disappointment of having to read through the whole thread only to find these swell lids are 3 sizes too small....
