1930s? German lightweight felt

Here's my most recent purchase (there's a vintage store in London that's got an utterly unbelievable number of hats from this same warehouse at about $30 each. I'm going to go back and get some more. There's a particular sage green number with a bound edge that i'm interested in.

This one is a rich brown with 1.25" ribbon, 2.25" raw edge brim and 4.5" crown.

Unlined just with the Ferd. Meister Nurnberg sticker on the inside of the crown.

Here's how it looks on me. It conforms to the dimensions that suit me best.

Baron, I do not know if it is against Lounge policy but, could you pass on the name of the store? I'm going to be in London the second week in May and, who knows, they could have a few 62s or 7-5/8ths come in?

Beyond Retro, Cheshire Street off Brick Lane. Not particularly accessible via public transport, unfortunately. Maybe Salv can give good guidance for how to get there . . .

I will ad my two cents in by saying that Europe is a goldmine for getting vintage hats. There were always more hats wearers there than in the states and now that few people are wearing hats in Europe, the vintage clothing stores are loaded with them . England , Italy and Amsterdam were always great places for vintage headwear. . Everytime I am in Florence Italy, there are flea markets on the weekends. I usualy buy one or two Borsalinos or Barbisio hats for peanuts.
