Bailey Litefelt. I have a new Bailey Curtis model which I'd like to have the front brim turn down.

It's one of those crush & return to form hats & just bending it doesn't work. I've read elsewhere that even steam doesn't but Bailey's customer service said to try it. Before I do, any personal experience here with something better, heat from a hair dryer?

You need steam to soften the fibres and the stiffener applied at the factory. You will be able to move the brim.....just maybe not into the shape you desire. Is it fur felt or wool?

I've worn a Dorfman Pacific wool fedora for over 30 yrs., from when they were made in the USA. Wool is fine with me & I like the price. After all those years the Dorfman isn't worn or damaged just discolored.
