I notice that in a lot movies, it never really took off in the states. I prefer it over the homburg's signature ribbon piping.
Homburg's had / have a Raw Cut Brim with Binding. Not a Blind Stitch Over Welt.

Here is another example of a Curled Brim Blind Stitch Over Welt from the same time period. J. Hückel´s Söhne "Loden".

This Curled Brim Blind Stitch Over Welt that belongs to Stefan has a more Homburg like Brim Flange & Curl. J. Hückel´s Söhne "Standard".

I am assuming this also around 5.5cm? I notice this is common width for hats on the 10s and 20s
