I just don’t get anything about this hat. Apparently they cut off most of the crown ribbon and sewed part of it on the brim? Hobo chic is not not something I get.

I'd say this is more "Douchebag Dapper" than "Hobo Chic", i.e. some Nick Fouquet wannabe ruined a perfectly good hat trying to make a name for him/herself.

Order one when the kid's are born and they can wear it in about 100 years. That appears to be the correct shape for a Spanish American War hat, especially the turned up brim. That was a BIG DEAL in Cuba. Not sure why at all.
