I also like your new website design, I visit now and then to try to decide between Black Cherry New Dye and Midnite for a new creation, when, or if, the horrible exchange rate $ vs. NOK will be back to normal. Until then I will have to make do with "The Vignet" (now named) and the "Tommy...
Hi Art,
Great video!
I think I recognize the hat in your opening vignet :) . I wear it a lot, and I get nice comments on it. Nice to see it here.

My new bracelet from Michaelshane
... arrived a couple of days ago. It's beautiful, well designed, hefty, and of impeccable workmanship! I am no expert in this area, but I doubt you can get any better jewellery of this kind anywhere. Thanks Michael!

A friend of mine, Per Thoresen, has written a couple of articles about barrel knives in English on his (Norwegian) knife blog:

More pictures in these articles (in Norwegian)...
I treated a goatskin peacoat basically the same way, except for the tumbling. I let my jacket dry lying flat while using a heap of towels to dry it out. Got rid of the molding and bad smell, and had the extra benefit of being able to stretch the arms a good inch for better fit.
On their web site Himel Bros. say they use full grain vegetable tanned leather, http://www.himelbros.com/index.php?p=page&page_id=heron1929-btn
Are you telling us that this is not correct??
My modified 1950's half belt ordered and delivered (January 2012) in seal goat is labelled as " ... manufactured from horsehide using the original 1920's tanning process."
It also has a label saying that the lining is made from Highlander Wool from Lochcorran, while in reality the lining...
My Dark cherry FP hat:
As promised, a couple of pictures of my dark cherry from Parker:
5 3/4"open crown, 2 3/4" brim. The centre dent dry creasing is just preliminary, not sure if I will pinch it.
The felt is rather heavy and stiff, more like a western felt, and I love it. Good for a...
Just to confirm that Parker is working hard :) : Yesterday I picked up a beautiful black cherry fedora, black ribbon with a special touch to the bow, black brim binding. I will not be able to take pictures for a few days, but will post pics later.
Thank you, Parker!
Hi Benzadmiral, You can save 1 of each item to the shopping cart at LeatherSmithDesigns, but as you have found there is a lot of suppliers out there :)
Terminology is the key :)
For example here they got both swivel snaps and D-rings on the same page:

Good luck
I'm not sure I understand exactly what you are looking for, but Google "leather hardware", and you probably will find something your shoemaker can use for this repair.
I have been looking at these similar styles from AngloAmerican:

http://www.angloamericanopticalltd.com/glasses/groucho-og/
A bit pricier, though.
Not exactly what you are looking for, but perhaps these could work for you? The price is not too bad:

I own an Aero Half belt in FQHH which I really love; the quality of the workmanship and materials. I also have a neck and shoulder injury from a traffic accident a few years ago, which I hate  . The two do not go well together. That's why I now am working on replacing my FQHH jacket with a...
