    I thought I'd read on these forums that Cal made jackets for Al's Leather, and a few other re-labelerss (Mr. S, etc. ) but I'm not sure how to prove that. I think Cal has used YKK zippers in some periods, although the more vintage ones use Talon or Crown hardware.

    I'm not sure what the function of the sleeve stitching is but it doesn't seem to be for armor pockets. But armored would be a cool option for the model. The sleeves are very nicely formed to curve for a naturally comfortable riding position.

    With thick, stiff leather, you want to break in the button holes and get the leather pliable so you don't break a button or the thread when fastening. Take a decent thick dowel and ream the hole out until you get the leather broken in enough to button it up.
