They're around, what, £1200-1300 new?
You can probably get about $900-1000 if it's new, but if you want a quick sale expect it to fetch $600-750.
Immediate sale, less than that.
She's been in business at least 30 years, maybe closer to 40 by now. Will be sad when she hangs it up one day, because I don't know of anyone else out there like her.
I sent her a Cal CHP for a seam repair about a month ago, and she did a nice job of it, but when she sent it back she said she...
I've learned a lot about different mskers, styles, fit, and materials from the forums. I definitely bought a lot of the jackets I own because of what I learned from being here.
It's hard to find info on them for the same reason it was hard to find info in "High Large" before they changed their name to Fine Creek.
I think the jackets look well constructed, and the materials look good. I'm less sure about sizing. But they seem like a good value if they fit well...
Just listed on Ebay. This jacket is minty, and almost certainly one of the last Octagon leather jackets in this kind of condition.
Message me here for a discounted off-ebay sale...
That may be. Almost all of my Aero jackets have Talon zippers.
Somehow my vanson jackets that have had Talon hardware haven't had any problems, though. They're beefier and the teeth are more exposed, and I think that explains the difference more than the brand.
Out of the many Aero designs I have tried, I've always regarded the Highwayman to the the most basic and standard. It's been referred to as Aero's most popular model, and it seems to be one of the most common to find sold secondhand, which I think bolsters that claim.
Getting the fit right...
My two complaints about Aero are their zippers are not heavy duty enough for their heavier leathers, and no revised Type III trucker with 80s handwarmer pockets for us nostalgic 80s kids.
But by far it's their refusal to do anything about the zippers that gets me. They just refuse to...
I've been wearing it a lot in the past month since temperatures dipped below freezing.
It is good down to at least 10-15F, and probably then some, as long as I have appropriate clothing on under, plus hat and gloves. Collar up in the wind. I like a thermal knit henley and a wool CPO type shirt...
This happens a lot. It violates ebay rules, but they don't enforce it very well, like a lot of other thing.
What happens is, someone has the real item for sale in Japan, at a lower price. Various speculators list the item on ebay, marked up considerably.
If someone buys the item from the...
My Weatherwool CPO shirt was delivered a couple of weeks ago. A bit later than expected, but better late than never. I wouldn't complain about it, good things come to those who wait and all. Plus this is a lifetime purchase.
Fortunately its arrival coincided with some of the coldest weather...
I love the look of the Beck 666. I think it's shoulder gussets are an advantage over the J100. If you buy a size 44 and don't like it for some reason, I'll buy it from you.
