    Fall '08 Window Displays.

Nice I like the suit in the center of ths photo. The tie and pocket square work well together. A great look for fall. Are all the flies hand-tied with barbless hooks or do you snip the barbs off the hooks?

How to repair a fedora's brim?

Interesting method but Gene's method or a lot of steam should achieve the same result. I'd be concerned that the dye or oils in the leather might stain the felt. The final result looks good. Either hanging or placing the hat on it's crown will keep the brim from loosing the swoop when the...

    Biltmore hats?

Octavius, Please take some pictures if you are able. Pictures of the museum would be worth starting a new thread and there is a thread for Hat Shops where you can post pictures of the outlet store. It would be nice to see both and to read about what is available at the outlet store. It's...

Rusty, Thanks. I was able to access their catalog from the linked thread you posted. No visor brims but it looks like I'll be placing an order for a vented style.

Does anyone still wear this summer work straw?

Rusty, Thanks for posting a link to this thread. Although the Kidron Country Store does not show a straw with the visor insert in the front brim, I believe I'll order one of their vented styles. Who knows, maybe the visor brim will make a comeback.

I have several hats from Biltmore. They make a quality product. If I lived near them, I'd definitely make a trip or two to their Factory/Outlet store.

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

More great hats, gentlemen, one and all. Paul, I like the Open Crown look. Thanks for some interesting history on the area where you live. Zappa may not like to wear hats but he wears a straw sombrero well. We just saw Marley & Me so this seems appropriate. Dman, Great Stetson! Today...
