How do folks react to your hat wearing?
Yes, well an umbrella is part of the uniform when one wears a bowler. Besides, that hat will save up the rain until the brim fills up, and then dump it down the back of your neck. That’s why bowler-wearing Englishmen always have an umbrella with them. -

I feel for he old guy, that’s rather sad. You should probably carry a tightly furled umbrella whenever you wear that hat.
