A load of great hats again, gentlemen.
gtd, Nice job on the Campdraft.
Gene, Love the hat & shirt. Aloha.
IC, Looking very official. Great Fed.
Wil, You've really come in to your own with wider brim and taller crowns.
Viper...
Actually, that was an initiate wearing a camouflage hat. This is indicative of the stealth that must be practiced when approaching the Drum of Doom.
Once within the Drum of Doom, the initiate must discard his camouflage hat before assuming the Cone of Silence.
Or so I've been told.
Elliot's hat has no side dents, just a sloping crease down the center of the crown. The pencil-roll brim doesn't appear to have a bound edge but it's hard to be certain.
The Stetson has a much steeper crease, side dents, and a wide binding but the ribbon seems to be nearly the same width as...
GWD, I think I'm glad to read that you're staying busy.
Personally, I think you have a lot to offer on this forum and miss your posts. I hope you'll at least drop in from time to time.

What is that terrific vest that you're wearing?
BTW, I'm reading All the Colors of Darkness by Peter Robinson. It's a Detective [Alan]...
IMHO this is a personal decision as far as ethics are concerned
I have two custom hats created by Art based on a vintage production hat, a Templeform by Style Park, that I sent him. The ribbon treatment on that hat is a bit unusual. Mine are called the Forrestor and one is rust while the other...
Posted this before but here it is again.
I dropped by The Vintage Sportsman forum

earlier this evening and read a short thread about camping with a hammock. It brought to mind this watercolor by Lord Robert S.S. Baden-Powell c. 1911. He certainly knew how to...
That does not appear to be a wool felt.
It appears to be a fur felt with a velour finish.
It either has an overwelt or a mode edge on the brim (it's hard to see in the pictures).
The bow on the ribbon looks sweet as it is.
It's your hat but I'm not sure that's the one to practice on...
I recently completed reading The Last Lincolns: The Rise And Fall of a Great American Family by Charles Lachman. With the death of Robert Todd Lincoln Beckwith on December 24, 1985, the last living descendant of Abraham Lincoln was gone. The dysfunctional trail of Lincoln's descendants...
