I agree with randooch and deanglen. I think you'd look good in a porkpie but also in a taller crown with little taper and a wider (2 1/2 or 2 5/8") brim.
Your head shape seems to be similar to Wil Tam's. He started with stingy brims and has gigrated to taller crowns and wider brims. You might...
Snap placement
Here's a comparison on vintage 8-panel caps and the placement of the snap.
On the Knapp-Felt cap in this ad, the snap appears to be located relatively deep on the brim (close to the crown). This allows the body of the cap to be shaped in a variety of ways.

gtd, That Glen grey Campdraft looks very good. Can we see a side view of the crease?
Looking forward to seeing that Pinnacle with bound edge and a new ribbon. Did the Major reblock it as well?

deanglen, That is a terrific find and the hat looks swell on your noggin! Couldn't happen to a nicer gentleman. Congratulations! :eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
That's a big load off my mind.
When Jimmy, Indy, Rusty, and Deputy Swoopy like a crease the stars must be properly aligned. ;) :)
Thanks to one and all for their kind remarks.
I played a lot of bridge in college and when I was stationed in Seoul, Korea with the US Army. Just dress casually comfortable unless there is a required dress code. The goal is to have fun and learn how to become a team that can communicate and clobber their opponents. ;) :)
Phil, I have the same issue with the soft brim on my PB cuenca. It isn't wavy like yours but it doesn't hold any shape. I'm looking forward to reading about how your brim acquires a shape that it will hold.
