Mine is like yours, including the shark gill bow, and patterned lining but in a very dark blue. I cannot remember the brim binding or not but the felt is very nice and can be creased with ease......"somewhere around here, there is a picture or two" as they say.;)

Yes, it really is.......the color and contrasting ribbon greatly resemble what Stetson just released with their 20X limited edition OR. It really stands out!
I cannot remember when it was first introduced. I know Stetson was fooling around with their felted edge (and other brim treatments) in the thirties. I have a thirties Dobbs with the Cavanaugh edge...it is very narrow....but other than that is just like the later versions. The sweat is...
