    The Other Open Roads.....

Biltmore 4 X Quality "Wilderness" in "Fawn" with 2 3/4 bound brim, 5 5/8 open crown. VERY soft fine felt. I love the contrast colored trim and the "Swallow Tail" cut to the ribbon ends. I put in a Truman pinch.

    Photos of hatters tools

Circa 1900. These attached (glued) to the lining tips of stiff hats as a rule (Soft hats required letters clipped to the sweat so they would not fall off). These letters and eagles are the of the glue on variety. Plain black stiff paper covered board box, hinged with silk stops, no markings...

How do folks react to your hat wearing?

I was at a drive up with the wife last week when the young man kept smiling, looking at me, fumbling with our order. Finally he said "I really like your hat!", I said "thank you" then asked for our drinks..and he apologized for his distraction as he handed us the rest of our order.... This...

    Loungers' Pets

Miss Biddy, weighs in at 18.2 pounds. Douglas Furbanks is a very long cat (over three feet nose to tail tip) but leaner build even though he weighs in at 18 lbs as well. Needless to say the cat tree (in the top picture) is a very large oak structure......;)

    The Stetson One-Hundred "100"

I have been reticent to look too much for fear of popping some stitching. Will try to mirror around when I feel braver. With the investment I have in this hat I sure don't want to crap it up......Does have a keyhole size tag.
