I’ve had a few silver topped canes pass through my hands but I’ve sold them on as generally they were designed for shorter people. However in (sensible?) preparation for my old age I’ve kept hold of this carved stick which fits me just right. I picked it up in a charity shop for two pounds.

it’s arrived so as I said above I’ll be choosing a few to keep and eBaying the rest.(Aero Sunburst in natural Vicenza brass hardware olive twill lining in body, olive sateen in sleeves).
I’ve got an order in for a Sunburst in natural Vicenza thats been passed to the factory for production today. I’m seriously thinking that when it arrives I’ll lay my herd out on the decking choose the finest and most comfortable and eBay the rest.
Judging by the P symbol on the cuff zip pull it’s an earlyish Ralph Lauren Polo

I’d suggest carefully rubbing over the rust with fine steel wool bunched up into a small dome and held between thumb and first two fingers. Once the rust has been removed coat the steel with Vaseline or Pecard to prevent the rust returning.

If they’re wax cotton you should not use any detergent. I clean mine by hanging them outside and hosing them down with clean fresh water. You can use a soft brush too.
Let them dry naturally outside in the sun and wind. if they’re that old they could probably do with a rewax. You’ll find videos...
