Have anyone ever seen a man with such a mustache after WWII? Unfortunately the toothbrush mustache has become the number one recognized feature of Hitler, i mean, you could make a toothbrush mustache on any stick-figure and everyone would think Hitler.
When mine got to that level (of "creasiness") i gave up and i haven't polished them ever since. They look better now; i cannot see the ugly finish beneath all the dirt. There is something about the texture of the finish, don't you think?
I don't know if that was the original purpouse of the waistcoat ((not only the DB) (and i guess nobody will ever know)), but it certainly helps as far as looking good without your jacket on. It is good not having to constantly worry about your shirt bulging out or getting un-tucked in all sorts...
Tailor tom: Have you tried doing it from the inside by hand? Ive done this once, and found it much easier to do by first loosely stitching to pocket to the jacket from the outside, then back-stitching as normal from the inside, being careful to not to make the stitches show on the front of the...
If you have a cheap washing machine you should consider getting a better one. My new washing machine washes quicker, and runs more silent, but best of all; it got rid of the stains around the collar, inside of the cuffs and in the armpit of all my shirts. If throwing a good portion of money on a...

Horizontal lines like that can be due to your jackets shoulders being too narrow, or it could be due to your shoulders being angled forward more than is normal.
It can be fixed like bk describes, but as far as I am concerned that method is a bit half hearted as the real problem is not just...
Vintage mens patterns can be found in tailoring/cutters manuals used in bespoke tailoring. These are books that contain several standardized patterns and complete instructions on how to modify the pattern to a set of measurements specified. Its actually pretty straightforward as far as the...
