I've got a half belt from the that very page, and in your very size. And I bought it when I was a poor college student! Be careful, we could be doppelgängers....
But I can certainly vouch for the jacket. And welcome!
That Roadhouse! Something about that style really put the hook in me. I have a couple LW sale jackets, but if I were ever to splurge on a full price model...
I once lent a hat to a friend for a Halloween costume, and he immediately snatched it up and jammed it on his head sideways, in such a manner that the whole thing warped horribly out of proportion. I was immensely glad I had decided to give him one of my cheaper hats, and now that's the only one...
Different in that most A-2 repros are lined in the same burnt orange/brown cotton that is generally conisdered consistent with historical jackets. The color of yours is different, and I seem to be making out some sort of pattern in the cloth as well, which is unique.
Curious that it's missing even the old contract label most reproductions emulate. That and the different lining means there's a long list of well known companies you could rule out. Certainly looks like a fine jacket, though.
Welcome to The Lounge!

I was agreeing with this until I saw Goose there. That's about as casual as can be, but it looks great! Somehow, that combination doesn't seem odd at all...
Whenever I'm browsing a vintage store, there seem to be two corduroy fedoras for every felt. You know the kind I mean, the stingy brim, often brown, green, or cross-patterned. I assume there's so many of them because they're newer and therefore more prevalent than the felt hats I'm shopping for...
Ghostsoldier, that is an amazing suit! I didn't think about the copyright issue, perhaps if the jacket was merely reminiscent of Fett's rather than a recreation?
Not sure how many of you are Star Wars fans, but I got a rather strange idea the other day when my friend showed me this.
Now I would never wear a hoodie, but what if the same thing could be done with a leather jacket? I'm thinking of a nondescript gray leather jacket with layers of green...
Don't believe my avatar, top hats are right on the edge of my social comfort zone. I'm fine in a fedora, and usually in a bowler or homburg, but I just don't think I could pull off a topper outside a very special event. With this in mind I've eyed them curiously, but never seriously.

My chest measures 34 1/2", and the size 34 is by no means tight in the torso. I have at least 2 inches of room in the jacket. I'm not sure how much extra space is typical for a non-restrictive fit, but I suspect that a 36" chest could fit without too much trouble. I wouldn't get much tighter...
Actually this one is a 34. I see what you mean about the wording on their sale page, when I read it I wasn't quite clear if they had more than just black available, but they said in an email that 36 and 34 were in stock. Would the measurements still be of use to you?

The armholes aren't perfect. There is definitely some riding up and restrictions to range of movement. I would say that with the jacket zipped, I can't really lift my arms higher than parallel to the ground without the collar getting way too high.

Lost Worlds Ryder Reference
Hello all,
I just purchased a Ryder jacket from the Lost Worlds sale pages, and as I don't see many reference photos of their products around here I thought I'd show mine off. This is in a 3 oz. horsehide rather than their industrial strength, but it's still quite...
I'm not sure if I'm correct, but this is how I've always thought of it:
A boater has a flat top with no creases, usually found in straw hats, like the 'election hats'.
A porkpie is a way of creasing a felt hat so that if forms a circular crease all the way around the crown.
Is this...
