Yes, although it doesn't make much sense to fly gliders in the winter, our club organizes new year's flights just for fun. Spending a full day outside on Dec 31st definitely requires an Irvin :)- GregGale

To me nothing looks cooler than an RAF Irvin. Eastman has great looking ones, I got mine from What Price Glory at a very reasonable price. I would not change the patch. First, I'm partial towards the 352nd as I've read many books about them. Second, I don't think it does any good to the jacket. I found the Eastman measurements on the historypreservation site, and it looks like I'm in serious trouble with both the Star and the RW. If I want at least 18.5 shoulder width, I have to go at least size 46 with the star? That's insane...I guess I need at least 22" pit to pit as well... No...- GregGale

Here are the measurements of my Cockpit A-2 according to the pictures posted above: Shoulder: 18.5 Pit to pit: 21.5 Length: 25 Sleeve: 25.5 My old Avirex that doesn't restrict my shoulder movement, but is too short in both torso and sleeves: Shoulder: 19 Pit to pit: 22.5 Length: 23.5 Sleeve: 25- GregGale

I've been researching the Star and the RW 27752, and this is what I found: The Star is trimmer at the waist, but roomier at the shoulder. It has also snugger fitting arms than, and a collar with lower front end. The 27752's collar stands closer to the chin, and the torso is roomier. Can anyone...- GregGale

Interesting, thanks! I definitely cannot afford a GW. Which Eastman has a similar shade? I mean a dark russet color. Their "seal brown" varies from black to dark russet from picture to picture.- GregGale
