Light to dark gray would suffice. White Panama for high heat. Khaki (sand) or lighter brown couldn't hurt. If it's temperature you're worried about, you might avoid blacks and blues.
Remember, it's not the color, it's how you wear it. ;)
In my eyes, these are just typical fodder for kids to feel they have one up on their gutter brethren. Granted, you do have to start somewhere - and I am guilty of owning a similar hat (it was plain black). But usually these hats signify nothing more than a chance to one-up the already bad...

No need, we're already a step above the rest. A gentleman doesn't throw fists; especially an entire Lounge full of classy gents and ladies like ourselves. :cool2:
lol
I have to admit, you have a point here. Although I'm sure if you've gone to the extent of recreating (in such amazing detail) these scenes, you most likely have already created fantasy lives for your friends and family as well.
These are great pictures, and the scenes are quite...
I have to mention that my paternal grandfather was very much like John Wayne, and not by emulation. Granted, he may have been alot of other things John Wayne was not, but he was very much like him. Incidentally, he also enjoyed movies by the Duke, which made sense seeing as they were so much alike.
I've had a little luck with my break while reading Three Men In a Boat. [*edit - as much as I write, you'd think I would notice three men in a boath?]
I also watched In the Name of the Father for the first time, and although unrelated to my story, the theme of abandonment, confinement and a...
Yeah, I missed out on the sale due to low funds. I think everyone is broke as a joke lately, aren't we?
In any case, I'll be watching for another sale and then I'll pounce on the Bobby. I love that hat - it looks really nice.
Also, thanks for all the feedback on shrinking!
I've owned my share of stingy brims, including some Wal-Mart fare (black cotton club hat), as well as a few cheap straw/paper stingies. The cotton lid was, ironically, thrown on top of the vintage Hotel Randolph in Des Moines by accident (long story). The other two straw/paper lids were...
I have to agree with you here; I've never been much of a Sinatra/Martin/Ratpack, etc. fan unfortunately. I respect their careers, I think they are talented singers, but nothing special to me.
I've been a Bing fan all my life.
Hands down, Bing Crosby. I've been listening to him all my life. Followed by Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald and Billie Holiday.
I have to throw two more in the ring.
Although he's kinda hard to put on here - didn't always sing, but did on occassions, and went on to an excellent solo...
