    I think this would be acceptable, especially if you're going for that casually well dressed look. It appears that the collar has no choice but to spread out over the lapels, but I realize that in some cases people pull the collar out on purpose. Unless this is some kind of trick...

    I'm fine with that. In fact, my recent participation in this thread has resulted in a much more focused effort to get moving. In fact, I've already laid out an outline (with most characters profiled) for a detective novel, and I'm currently in the middle of chapter 2. ;)

    I think a substantial bow tie (within reason of course:rolleyes: ) would suit most peoples' sensibilities, as opposed to those peckish little polkadot ones, or Pee Wee Herman ones. Then again, I think most people look at bow ties like they see ascots. "What, you're not wearing a tie? Gawd!"

    I often call women 'kid' as a term of endearment. And on the other hand, I may call a woman 'sister' to express disatisfaction. "Hey kid, how's things been?" "Excuse me?! Kid? Get a life, fella!" "Look sister, I don't know what your problem is, but I don't want any part of it!"
