If at first you're unsure - go gray. I can't view the picture at this time, but a dark or really dark olive color should be fine with a dark to medium-dark gray.
On the other hand, I don't know why a brown wouldn't do. In fact, a medium brown would probably work well.
There are really four...
That would make sense, I think. I don't know that I would always tip, but if it were a place I regularly purchased take out from, or if they had good service I could see it.
Man...I wish they gave discounts around here!
Oh sure, there are bullies everywhere. There's are also idiots everywhere. I'm not insinuating a correlation, but...
And when it comes to bow ties, there is a particular disdain because people are already apprehensive if you're wearing a tie, but a bow tie; well you most certainly...
Precisely what it looks like! Good call! :eusa_clap
I figured anyone wearing a bash like that probably got punched and left it that way. A blackjack would be a more likely culprit.
I think it would depend on the bartender. This approach would likely work better on an honest bartender because they would see you've put your money where your mouth is, up front.
A dishonest one, as in Rumblefish's story, would do just the opposite.
I know. I've never heard of tipping for carry-out. I mean, unless perhaps you made a very specific request that would inundate an already busy kitchen. [huh]
I hated the movie, and I've never been a fan of Zoot suits. Chances are the poster didn't get the reaction he was looking for and stopped coming in.
Too bad, because it would be interesting to see some pictures of the suit reproduced accurately, as gawdy as it was.
The Detroit hook bash in the picture is merely a center-dent crease with a connected off-center dent in the pinch. It doesn't look all that difficult to perform, but would likely require some water or steam. I certainly wouldn't pay much just to have someone do that for me.
I don't dislike...
Here's an interesting article regarding tipping:
Tips On Tipping Everyone From Your Pizza Guy To Your Sherpa
First one on the list:
"Take-Out Food - 10% when you pay. Make sure you tip based on the entire check if you use restaurant coupons."
Yeah, if only it were that way...
Unfortunately, I've worn the same Stetson fedora to work for the last 5-6 years, and I regularly hear, "Huh, so Stetson makes fedoras, too?"
I think I'll start in on them with the McDonald's approach now. That ought to hold them at bay for a...
You may consider browsing through an excellent resource posted by Marc HERE:
The BIG Sticky
I think you'll note most waistcoats have no apparent collar, while others range from shawl to notch. However, if you look closely, there are examples of DB vests with peak lapels throughout the...
Sorry to hear about that Jack! I was kinda hoping you'd pop in with the big "YAY!".
I also received a reject on Monday. Wasn't going to mention it, but your reject reminded me of my response, "Thanks for you submission, unfortunately, we are not a fit. Good luck." lol Well tell me how you...
Autumn is my favorite season, but the beginning of school has always put me in a funk, regardless of age. College was a slight exception because I wanted to be there, but even then I was dreading it.
I didn't enjoy school much, and I had very bad experiences there. The end of summer was very...
I think this is a pretty cool idea. Unfortunately, I don't know that it would work in a dump like Iowa. We have 2 types of bars here:
1. frat-guy-drink-till-you-fall-over and/or meet-some-chick; places where fights are regularly moved to the parking lot so staffers aren't bothered, where...
I've been reading through Sherlock Holmes shorts and come across a number of patterns. When I went to research them, I found a few sources I'd like to look over.
So! I have some further research to do at the library. I've also got some corrections (specifically the Prince of Wales Check) to...
I say leave it alone unless it is absolutely simple to remove. If it's that simple to remove, and you're just wondering about saving the tag for progeny, then it's your call. [huh]
Personally, I'd leave it.
