    I've never liked hot glue - it peels off too easily. Best to use an industrial strength cold adhesive like E6000. It smells bad and takes a day or so to dry, but it won't give up its hold.

    I wouldn't keep anything I couldn't or wouldn't wear. I'll happily cut the tags off of NOS items so I can wear them, though I may hold onto the tags for awhile.
