Cruz's dress was Lanvin. SJP's dress was Dior Couture.
Cruz's was amazing, as was Natalie Portman's. I didn't care for SJP's or Jennifer Aniston's, though SJP certainly looked busty in hers! I've never seen her look that way before. ;)
Hi! I have these and apparently they're collectible. Not sure what they're worth. Anyone interested in making an offer? Ebay says these are worth about 20 bucks. Shipping might be around $10, but you'll pay actual.
I think that wearing vintage all the time can be limiting. It's fun, but then it's boring. It's unique, but sometimes you feel like an idiot for wearing this old stuff. For me anyway, it's a natural cycle. If you're not into it now, don't force it! The skirts and dresses will be there. In...
Sometimes at the thrift store I see things I want to buy for Loungers or friends but then I realize that if I don't NEED to buy it for me, they probably don't need it either.
Today the items in question were a 40's Toastmaster toaster and a Pyrex bowl with atomic starbursts on it. I do not...
Actually, I have no idea when it's been popular. It probably is not much of a vintage look, since it has a French mani feel to it and my understanding is those started in the 60's. My polish is OPI Tickle My France-y on the nail and OPI Did Someone Say Party? on the tip.

One of my favorite manicures is painted points at the tip:
I'm left handed, so this is the hand I did with my right, and it's not too messy. I like this manicure because it looks complicated but it's easy...just use the flat side of the brush!
Thanks Miss Hannah, Miss Golightly, La Julia, and Exquisitebones!!! I think you're right about the high necked dress with the cardigan.
Today I had the sweater on over a sweetheart neckline slip, which looked great, but I'm not going to wear out a slip as my only "shirt." lol I think it will...
Oh it's definitely not a problem to wear different slips! :) I just thought Top Runway's skirts would be more expensive...the shipping is really deadly sometimes. Especially when you can get vintage skirts for around $20 on ebay.
With a history of devouring Ayn Rand books. ;) :offtopic: However, I think that those who blindly follow Rand are mostly anti-social jerks; ask anyone (including me) who has been in Objectivist clubs and social circles. There are usually one or two really great people though. [huh]
I hate to be the lone voice of dissent here, but I find the book kind of patronizing, and the information contained therein mostly self-evident. [huh] I guess we can't all be innately good with people I guess! Like wonderful me! lol
