    Custom Printed Fabric

You could check the other site I posted - they will also do special fabric requests. However, you would likely end up paying $30+/yd for that.

Another option would be to use that special printer paper that acts as fabric transfer sheets.

    China Glaze Vintage Vixens

Nice colors! Obviously, though, they didn't do that much research, or they would've found that "ladies of the 40’s seriously missed out on is nail color" is not correct. "A lot of colors were used. Especially blue-reds, brown-reds, bright reds, green, mustard yellow, black, navy blue, plum, and...

    Discontinued!

You might want to try MAC Mineralize cream foundation. I started using it when they discontinued my previous one and have been very happy with it (I also use NW15). It doesn't have that powder finish you're looking for, but it gives great coverage and with a light dusting of powder, it gives a...

    Custom Printed Fabric

It seems like this would be incredibly cost-prohibitive. There are a lot of companies out there that make retro fabric designs and many that sell vintage fabric stocks as well. I understand that finding gabardines and rayon novelty prints can be a little harder, but cottons are not all that...

    unconventional earrings?

I actually have these same ones and they are the most common design I've seen. I've seen several pair for sale in various places. I believe them to be Avon of Belleville (not Avon the cosmetics company) based on the "AVON" signature on the back. More on both marks at...

    Hiding bobby pins

I just found that Etsy seller Bunnysundries has candy apple red bobby pins (as well as other colors) for $10 for 50 bobby pins. Kind of expensive... Unfortunately, the bobby pins have a glue pad on them for gluing flowers, etc, but I imagine that they could easily be removed with a sturdy pair...

    Hiding bobby pins

Hannah, here are some I found on Amazon. Sally Beauty also has some colored ones on their website. Obviously, they're probably not the size or quantity you need, but it shows that they're out there!

My mom has also been lamenting the loss of this product!

What's on Top - Bras, panties, garter belts, slips, & stockings

The bra shown in the 2nd picture is apparently not very good, and especially poorly suited for ladies with larger busts. I like the idea of adding the back strap, but how would one make it so it didn't ride up? edit: what's up with the shape of her butt in the ad? lol

    Indulgence Day

I know! My bathtub is ginormous - it's square with the tub running diagonally (both wider and longer than a usual tub) with the 2 other corners forming seats. And the tub is blue with pink tile walls, which is also amazing.

    Hiding bobby pins

I can never get my pins completely hidden, so I just try to get pins that are closest to my hair color and think about how everyone else will think "wow, her hair looks amazing!" and not "Guh, her pins are showing!" I've also found shorter bobby pins that work better for pinning curls...

What's on Top - Bras, panties, garter belts, slips, & stockings

Secrets in Lace carries a line of stockings for curvy gals, but it doesn't look like they have cuban heeled ones in that line :-(

I keep hearing this about them, which has sadly not been my experience with the blue pair above. I keep wearing them though!

    Peeling flaking nails

I have actually used Pro-Strong as a topical nail solution for years and keep coming back to it. It's amazing and makes my nails healthy, strong and fast-growing. I've also heard someone say that silica is good for nails.

    The ones that got away

I agree! For that price, it better make me 20 pounds lighter (not just look 20 pounds lighter), set my hair for me AND do my dishes.

    The ones that got away

I LOVE this. Would've fit too, but it had uneven fading and went for over $100. amazing color block dress. Went for around $60, but not in the best shape and it would've been difficult to tailor to my size. I wanted this so bad! Went for $80 though, too big, and from what I can tell...

    Best beauty decision you've made?

For a long, long time, on the many occasions I stopped biting my nails, I had to keep them perfectly polished in order to not bite them. The problem is that as soon as the polish would chip, I would pick and bite. Luckily I'm past that - I was spending tons of time, like every 2 or 3 days...
