    In my experience, all dresses ride up with stockings and require a slip :) Fleur's right though - cotton dresses seem to be the worst!

    As a general rule, you can "get away with" wearing stockings with anything. As Lady Day mentioned, a smart move would be to wear them with all dresses.

    Not linen. The weave looks similar but the texture is not. It has a tiny bit of sheen to it, so it might be a rayon blend. Black Dahlia, that purse is amaaaazing!

    It looks like a flexible plastic? Very pretty. I've seen a lot of this style floating around in different colors. I have a nearly identical pair in lavendar. They're tons of fun aren't they? You're lucky to have the whole parure.

    This is the easiest hairstyle ever, which is why it's the only vintage-inspired one that I do (for the most part). I twist each side back, bringing in new hair as I go, and I use combs in the sides. Then I bring the back up and secure it with another comb. The rest is taking individual curls...
